Product Description

Folic acid was originally found in yeast, where it was recognised to be an "anti-Anaemia" factor. Folic acid is a member of the B complex.  Having a Folic acid deficiency may cause Anaemia. This is often associated with a diminished number of white blood cells.

Folic Acid is essential for correct cell development. Rapidly growing tissues (found in pregnant women) are affected by folic acid deficiency and so the intestinal mucosa may also suffer. In babies and young children, growth may be affected.

Those who are most at risk from folic acid deficiency are, the elderly who may have poorer diets or impaired absorption, those with intestinal malabsorption syndromes and women as the developing foetus make considerable demands on the maternal folic acid stores.

Folic Acid 400mcg (200%RDA), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Stearic Acid, Silica, Magnesium stearate.

Dosage

Take one tablet daily as a food supplement or as directed by your health care professional.
